The Chippendales in Skien 2014

I am back, in a new house and with our very own little puppy! But I have not had internet or time to blog for over a week. So I'll have to start telling you about something that happened over one week ago. Two days before we moved, three days before we brought home our Leo.

Thursday the 25th of September the guys of Chippendales came to our small town Skien. Because I promised Siri (instagram: siriohaugen) we'd go as a late celebration of her birthday I bought us both tickets to the show. None of us had been to a Chippendales show before, but we did see the movie Magic Mike together so we were pretty excited about it. We had actually planned to buy tickets months ago, but there has been so much going on for both of us and time has passed so fast. I bought the tickets only three days before the show so we got seats all the way in the back, but the mood in the Hall of The Mountain King that night was just amazing. It was packed with women (and two gay guys) of all ages, overdressed for the occasion and most of them, including myself, intoxicated in various grades. Needless to say, the sound level went of the scale with these muscular Americans every thrust. The audience kept cheering the guys out of every single piece of clothing one by one, again and again. I'm not going to say much more about the show other than that I really enjoyed it, and recommend it!

After the show, and Siri had her picture taken with the Chippendales, we sat at the bar to enjoy one last beer before heading home. I am a slow drinker so a lot of people left as we were sitting there talking about the show. Then suddenly the Chippendales guys came out looking for an afterparty. We walked with Joey (instagram: officialjoeypena) to the sportsbar they'd planned to go too and met up with all the other guys there. I have never seen that bar so full on a weekday! With the Chippendales came a lot of women hoping to have a moment with one of them, and our football team, Odds Ballklubb, had won a huge game that day so people celebrated that too. The Chippendales where such a blast to party with though. Norwegian guys don't really dance unless they are grinding on some girl or really drunk, but these guys do this for a living and made a real party on that dance floor.

We got to talk to a lot of the guys, they are all so outgoing and easy to talk to! I envy them for being able to travel the world entertaining people where ever they go. Did you know I used to act? I actually had acting lessons and was in many different theater productions when I was in school. Guess world touring with a theater or something like that has always been a dream of mine. I'd love to have more time with these guys and get to know all of their stories from touring, but they left early the next day. At least we got an awesome night out together!

Date night

Saturday was so much fun! Because Raven and I have been together for four years now he had a big date planned for us. The first thing he did was have me open this big gift that he'd been teasing me with for a week already. Inside it I found a gorgeous jacket that is just perfect for fall. Underneat that jacket there was a cute top and a sexy, two splitted maxi skirt. Deeper in the box lied a lovely necklace, earrings and matching underwear. The last thing in the box was an other box, a shoe box, with some amazing heels in it.

He had bought me an intire outfit, down to every single detail! A goodlooking outfit too, and almost everything fit. The jacket was the wrong size so we'll have to exchange it. But he still did so good! The intire outfit was purchased at Bubbleroom.com.

He then took me to dinner at a fancy restaurant and let me order all the sides I wanted before he took out a pair of tickets to a concert. We parked the car at a place that we could leave it over night and went to see Pagans Mind at Ibsenhuset. They serve alcohol there now, I didn't know that!

My heels were not exactly made for standing for a long time. Therefor we just found a table from which we could see the stage, bought beers and nuts and just enjoyed eachothers company and the concert from afar. After the concert we decided to go out and drink some more so we did a little bar to bar rounde and met up with some of our friends.

We don't really do stuff like that just the two of us that often so it was just perfect, Haha, and the date ended with Raven having to break us into our apartment when the taxi dropped us off because he left the keys in the car. The perfect end to a perfect date night! Raven is just amazing.

How was your weekend?
What is your idea of a perfect date?

#SPU2014

This summer has been so good, and yes, I know I've said that in every post the past month, but it is so true! Right now I want to share some photos from the best party this summer - Or it was actually like a one day festival and it was just awesome!

These two guys who arranged it were working so hard in advance and their hard work, and creative minds, really paid off. They had made a private beach, an outdoor water closet and sink, a beach watch tower, a dj booth with an actual dj and rented equipment. They had a bathtub with ice to hold beer cold, barbecues so people could make food during the day, air mattresses that everyone could use on the lake and of course a beer pong table!

The event is called Sol, pils og utendørsaktivitet (SPU for short and Sun, beer and outdoor activity in English). It was my first year attending this party, but not my last! For some it has already become a tradition, and next year it is going to extend from one to two days. So if you live in Telemark (Norway) this is one of the festivals you definitely should check out next summer!

Have you been to any festivals this summer?

Eternity

A few weeks ago I modeled at a shopping center called Brotorvet for a skin care clinic called Eternity.
They needed someone fast and I had some time off so I said I'd do it. It felt good to do something spontaneous again! The photos that was taken that day where for an advertisement in the shopping centers spring magazine. The pictures came out on their facebook pages the past week.

At the clinic I got lash extensions and a makeover as you can see from the collage. I wouldn't say that the makeup look felt wearable at all for me, but she was very talented the makeup artist that did it! She used mostly makeup from Babor which is a brand I am starting to get familiar with because we have it at the saloon I work at on fridays, Mei og Moy. When it comes to the lash extensions I don't really want to say anything else right now than that they did a good job, if you want to know more about it feel free to ask and maybe I will write a post about it. What I have to comment on is my before picture though, it looks good right? I love my skin now.

A lovely lady from Tango braided and curled my hair for the shoot, and I borrowed clothes from a store called Gossip. This would be a perfect example of a total makeover gone wrong because I would have never chosen those clothes, but this was not about what I wanted it was about what they wanted to show. The dress is cute, just not me, but I loved the hair and the ad did turn out pretty good!

Thank you for the opportunity, Eternity!
What do you think of the photos?
Have you tried lash extensions?

Fiesta Filipino in Oslo 2013

There is so much going on these days! I'll have to sort out some pictures to show you later when I have time. Just wish the days had more hours. Actually I wish the nights had more hours so I could have fun and get enough sleep!

The celebration of the 115th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence on Saturday was so colorful and fun. There were Filipino flags and smiles everywhere! There are so many talented Filipinos here in Norway and they kept us entertained with music and dances all evening. I feel blessed to have been able to be a part of this celebration together with my family and some of my best friends. A perfect way to spend my birthday, haha!

I want to thank Bayanihan - den filippinske forening i Grenland for a seat in the bus and wonderful day!

Those who dance are considered insane by those who cannot hear the music

I thought I'd show you a picture from Friday. I dance for a philippino cultural group called Bayanihan - Den Filippinske Forening i Grenland and on Friday we got to dance at a wedding. The location was so beautiful as you can see in the photo, but it was so cold standing there in our dancing costumes. I had so much fun though!
I guess this is a very different look for me than you are use to here on the blog. I've been in this group for as long as I can remember, maybe 12 years or so. Man, I'm old!
