My Halloween Style Change Looks

Halloween is over and I am actually very pleased with my Halloween series this year even though I did not use my sfx kit. It was so much fun just playing with makeup again and creating different looks and styles that everyone can do! It is so hard for me to pick a favourite among these looks because they are so different from each other. However, I am very pleased with how I pulled off the goth look so that one is on the top for me. I also loved the hipster look because it turned out so cute and happy, putting it together and shooting it made me smile! Press the titles to get to the posts with more pictures, product and outfit lists.

If you liked these posts, but have any style you think is missing feel free to request it! Maybe I'll add some more posts to this for inspiration for next years Halloween.

Halloween Style Change #2: Swag

The second look for my Halloween style change series is swag! I wasn't really sure what to call it, but I think swag is pretty accurate. The thing with this style is that you need actual swag to pull it off! I took so many picture of this look to try too get the right attitude. It was fun though and I am pleased with the photos!

The makeup for face and eyes are the same as for my goth look in my last post. I made this look after the goth look so I just added some eyecolors from the same Glominerals magazine and changed the lips. For these bubblegum, fuschia lips I used Barry M Lip Paint in Shocking Pink with a TBS lip gloss on top.

I bought the sunglasses and top from the gorgeous Stephanie of thestrawberrybrunette.com. The ripped jeans are old and I was actually planning to throw them out. I think I bought them at BikBok.

The shoes are from Target. I just had to have these when we were in Hawaii. The necklace is from Gina Tricot. I have no idea where the earrings are from, I just found them amoung lots of jewelery that I don't use and though they were perfect for this look.

I tried a second outfit with this makeup. The second top is from Carlings and shoes are from wholesale-dress.net. Everyone has the chance to make this look work with what you already have in your closet! The challenge is to find your swag and attitude to wear it.

Halloween Style Change #1: Goth

Sometimes we see someone and think to ourselves: "Wow, she looks so good. I love her style! But it is so far from mine that I could never pull it off!" Can you relate? I think most of us can. I also think most of us never try that other style on because we get stuck in our own way of styling. Halloween is a day that we can be whatever and whoever we want. It is the perfect occasion to try out a new style!

I am going to try to make looks with styles that I am not used to this year. I've called this look series Halloween Style Change. You are more than welcome to suggest looks! I am trying to make them with clothes and accessories I already own. Without buying anything new you can still make an awesome costume for the Halloween party!

The first look I've chose to do in this series is goth. There is something so mysterious about the goth subculture. It might just be the dark makeup and black clothing, but they have always fascinated me.

Makeup base:
Gosh CC Cream Illuminating Foundation 01 Porcelain
TBS Nature's Minerals Foundation 00 (expired)
Babor Camouflage Cream
elf Warm Bronzer

Models Own Lip Stick (must have been limited edition because I can't find it on their page)

Eyes & Brows:

Yves Rocher Eye Liner
TBS Super Volume Mascara

Dress & vest are from H&M. Shoes are Jeffrey Campbell.

Date night

Saturday was so much fun! Because Raven and I have been together for four years now he had a big date planned for us. The first thing he did was have me open this big gift that he'd been teasing me with for a week already. Inside it I found a gorgeous jacket that is just perfect for fall. Underneat that jacket there was a cute top and a sexy, two splitted maxi skirt. Deeper in the box lied a lovely necklace, earrings and matching underwear. The last thing in the box was an other box, a shoe box, with some amazing heels in it.

He had bought me an intire outfit, down to every single detail! A goodlooking outfit too, and almost everything fit. The jacket was the wrong size so we'll have to exchange it. But he still did so good! The intire outfit was purchased at Bubbleroom.com.

He then took me to dinner at a fancy restaurant and let me order all the sides I wanted before he took out a pair of tickets to a concert. We parked the car at a place that we could leave it over night and went to see Pagans Mind at Ibsenhuset. They serve alcohol there now, I didn't know that!

My heels were not exactly made for standing for a long time. Therefor we just found a table from which we could see the stage, bought beers and nuts and just enjoyed eachothers company and the concert from afar. After the concert we decided to go out and drink some more so we did a little bar to bar rounde and met up with some of our friends.

We don't really do stuff like that just the two of us that often so it was just perfect, Haha, and the date ended with Raven having to break us into our apartment when the taxi dropped us off because he left the keys in the car. The perfect end to a perfect date night! Raven is just amazing.

How was your weekend?
What is your idea of a perfect date?

Knit. Hot chocolate. Cuddling. Fall is here.

The days are getting shorter, colder and a lot more rainy so I guess it is time to acknowledge that fall is here to stay. Usually admitting that would make me so depressed that I would not be wanting to do anything else than stay in bed or on the sofa in front of the tv until next summer. But this summer has been so good that it has given me energy enough to last maybe one more month!

Now I am actually looking forward to dressing up for fall in knit, leather jackets, scarfs and boots. I can't wait to take my big, comfy sweaters out from the bottom of my closet! Fall fashion is so comfy, soft and warm with all the subtle colors, both dark and light, thick leggings and over sized scarfs. And I love to roughen it up with some leather details. I just had to check out the new fall pieces at Nelly.com for some inspiration and there are so many things I want! I put together these two outfits, I would wear any one of them tomorrow if I could and am having such a hard time deciding which one I like the most.

In an other episode

This summer, like the last three summers, Raven and I used some of our vacation days on attending the Roskilde Festival in Denmark. I didn't take that many pictures at the festival, but will show you some later on. Right now I just wanted to show you some of my vintage finds from the festival. Every year I get drawn to this tent with vintage clothes from the store called Episode (episode.eu) and this year was no exception!

I ended up with buying two high waist Lee shorts, two tops and two purses. Today, and on the picture above, I am wearing one of the tops, the shorts is an old one of mine. The rest of my findings are on the next picture. The first thing that I noticed, and that started my little shopping spree, was the black and brown purse. It is just genius! It has lots of pockets, but not too many, and is the perfect size for summer when you need to bring sunglasses, sun screen and a book or maybe a thin cardigan.

Do tou have any favorite second hand stores?

Birthday wishes - Under the belt

I keep window shopping all the time now. There is so many things I want for summer! Tomorrow I have my fifth exam out of eight and I just can't wait for them to be over 'cause then I'll be sipping strawberry daiquiris at Gringo bar, shopping vintage bags in some booth and just dancing in the sun at Roskilde festival. But in the meantime I'm looking at the internet shops dreaming myself away, so I thought I'd show you some more of my wants before my birthday!

| Nudies at Nelly |

I haven't had time for any kind of shopping for a while and my beloved DrDenims are getting pretty worn out. I am going to purchase some new DrDenims, but I also really want some new Nudies. The quality is so much better. I have one pair of Nudies, but they're a little bit big, or should I say not tight enough. These two pairs look great, but everything do look great on the models!

| Lacoste Marthe FRS | Alexander McQueen Liv Cut Out La |

I just can't have a wish list without shoes! I love shoes. Right now what I really want are some shoes that look good, but I can walk around town with on sunny days without my feet killing me at the end of the day. What I need are new pairs of slim high Converse because the ones I have are so worn out. They've even survived Roskilde Festival two times. But it would be nice with something without laces like these ballerinas, so I can just slip them on and be out of the door. And kick them off when I get home.
The Alexander McQueen boots. I had to put them in here. They are so expensive! But so gorgeous and I keep imagining putting together some amazing outfits with them.

Another thing I actually need (I have been good at keeping to things I need! At least I think so) is a bicycle. I live in the city so a bicycle is the perfect way for me to get around. Especially when I need to run errands for work, or am just meeting a friend at a café. I like walking, but sometimes it would be nice to get to where I want a little faster.

Birthday Wishes

It's funny how the weeks before and the week of your exams is the time you rediscover internet shopping! I did some shopping earlier today at Nelly, and since I find myself constantly distracted (haha, like I was ever reading anyways!) by the shops I figured I'd blog some wants. My birthday is coming up fast so this should give my loved ones some ideas of what to get me.

However, I am going to start with something I actually need; Glasses.
Abby was so glad to see me the other day that she head bumped me so hard my glasses broke. They where just some plastic ones from a retail store, but now I don't have any glasses. Having to put on lenses every morning is not something I want, and the lenses I have now are blue so i look kind of crazy. Especially without makeup!
I don't really know what kind of glasses that fits my heart shaped face, my last pair were big hippie glasses!

| Te Amo Aztec Sequin Dress | Te Amo Bustier Maxi Dress |

As always I wish for some new dresses. Not that I need it, but you can never have too many right? No, I actually need it! These two are so gorgeous for summer parties, and the brand has such a cute name: Te Amo. Guys, this is a cute gift idea! Say "I love you" with a dress! Strapless dresses seldom fits me though, I have nothing to hold them up with. I might have just fallen for the name, after all I do love the song by Rihanna.

Another thing I love in summer is everyday dresses. These are dresses I feel so much more comfortable in, and they do look good too! I'd wear these to the beach, to work, to get coffee with friends and of course at Roskilde. I'd wear them with heels, flats, sandals and barefoot! They make me want summer now! I could wear one of them on my birthday because we are going to a beach volley event that day, probably have to play some too.

I'll post more wishes later. It is midnight and I have my first exam in the morning.
Good night!

Bored by things that are common

I love shoes, and I love shoes that are kind of special and maybe a bit weird, so when I saw these I just had to have them! I actually bought them on a local facebook page called Needy where people can buy and sell things that they do not use, didn't fit or that they are tired off. These were new when I bought them, but I don't know where they are originally from. The label says VOX shoes and I have never heard of that before so this left me clueless and I even couldn't find anything other than skate wear when I googled it. Sorry!

I've already used these shoes a couple of times and they are really easy to walk on. I styled them with tight black jeans and a loose, printed t-shirt for a night out with the girls last week. Will show you this outfit later!

How would you style these awesome shoes?

Repost: Festival Wear, My Dear

All the pieces in this collage are pieces I would love to wear at the festival this year. I actually have a hat though, it's black. Maybe I'll bring that with me this year!

Repost: Flowy Festival

I made this collage last year before the Roskilde Festival. Most of these pieces are from Topshop and mango, but there are a few pieces from H&M, Nelly and Romwe. I love the tops here and especially the sweaters. I have already packed a few similar sweaters for those cold festival nights. They're so cosy.

Dresses for springs festivities

The next weeks and months there are a lot of celebrations coming up. We have the 17th of May on Friday, celebration of the Filipino national day in the beginning of June and in between there are lots of birthdays. My  own birthday is coming up and so is Ravens, my little sisters and one of my best friends. In edition to this the people I work with are having a spring get together with dinner and drinks, and on that same day I am invited to a confirmation and another birthday. I can't do all three though. Like you all needed to know that! My point with writing this is to explain why I'm posting pictures of all these gorgeous Nelly dresses, I need some!

Skater dress | Chiffon dress

I almost clicked this one home, but I could see from the measuring that it would be too long even in xxs. Good thing I checked or it would be on its way to me right now and then it would just be hanging in my closet. It's getting more and more obvious to me that I can not order maxi dresses online.

Dionne dress | Peplum Bombshell dress

I am very picky when it comes to dresses and it's all about feeling comfy in it. The length has to be just right. I don't like straps on just one side. I can not have strapless dresses without trying it on because I have nothing to hold it up with so I am thinking about that all the time while wearing a strapless. Maxi dresses are often too long for me, even with high heels I step on the skirt! I think peplum dresses look so cute, but when I put one on I just have to take it of again. Hopefully one day I can learn to wear it. Other than that my dresses can not show to much, but should still be sexy or cute. If it is very tight I usually prefer long sleeves like the blue one here or this one.

Butterfly dress | Valentine dress

I guess my pickyness must be the reason I don't wear dresses that often. I am going to try more and more this summer to wear new and different dresses so maybe by the end of the year my NYE dress will be a strapless, tight dress.

Did you like any of these dresses?
